Application Instructions

Welcome, and thank you for reaching out to us for support! We are happy to help and committed to providing assistance to the best of our ability, whether that is through our own ministries or connecting you to other agencies and partners in the community. Please follow ALL instructions listed below to ensure that your application can be processed in a timely manner.

Submit Application

Fill out and submit hard intake application form via the button at the bottom of this page.

*Please note that the information provided will be reviewed and verified by the Financial Assistance Committee. It is important to be as honest and upfront as possible so that we can provide the best support and services we can.*

Submit Documents

Submit ALL required documents listed below within 24 hours of submitting your application. Photos or screenshots of the documents are acceptable if you do not have access to a printer/scanner. Failing to submit the required documents will result in delays in processing your application and may result in the denial of your application.

*Please check your email regularly, as that is our primary method of communication in the case that we need additional documents from you.*

Application Review

Once the application form is submitted and all documentation has been received, you will receive a determination within 1-2 business days. If we are unable to provide the support you’re requesting, we will do our best to refer you to additional community resources.

Required Documents

Rent / Utility Assistance
Copy of photo ID for every adult in the home
Copy of birth certificates for every child in the home

Proof of income for the past 3 months (including MDHHS benefits, pay stubs, child support, etc.)

Copy of your current gas/electric bill
Copy of your rental lease agreement
Copy of rent ledger (showing at least 3 months of payments and current balance)
Furniture, Mattresses, or Gas Vouchers
Copy of photo ID for every adult in the home
Copy of birth certificates for every child in the home

Proof of income for the past 3 months (including MDHHS benefits, pay stubs, child support, etc.)

Copy of a current utility bill OR copy of your lease agreement (showing proof of address)

For Gas Vouchers Only: Copy of vehicle proof of insurance or registration

Financial Assistance Application

If you are seeking assistance with rent, utilities, furniture, mattresses, gas, or another major need, please fill out the form below. A Love INC staff member will reach out to you via phone or email within 14 business days to request additional information and discuss next steps.

Please note that we are NOT equipped for crisis situations and assistance takes a minimum of 3 days to process. If you need emergency assistance, please call 211 to be connected to the appropriate resources.

We are also only able to provide assistance to residents of Northeast Ottawa County, including Allendale, Coopersville, the west side of Standale, Marne, etc. If you live outside of this area, please call 211 to be referred to agencies and organizations in your area.
